Smartaupairs at IAPA Conference

Smartaupairs au pair agency is an established member of both the British national au pair association BAPAA as well as international au pair association IAPA.

In March 2011, Smartaupairs team was excited to attend the annual IAPA conference – the event brings together au pair agencies from all around the world and provides therefore an excellent forum to personally meet and discuss the au pair market. The conference provided us the opportunity to not only meet with the agencies we already work with, but also enabled us to establish new connections to ensure the continuation of the high calibre and variety of the au pair candidates.

Smartaupairs already places candidates from most of the European countries, and over the recent years we have also expanded to the Australian and Canadian market. At the IAPA conference, we made new and promising connections with agencies in New Zealand as well as in America, and we hope to launch programmes with both countries over the coming year to match the high demand for native speaking candidates.

We are also very keen to involve our host families and au pairs more actively in the selection of the au pair of the year (awarded at the IAPA conference). We hear so many lovely stories from our au pairs and families and are sure that there could be many great applicants for the award also from Smartaupairs. Application information for 2012 will be sent out closer to the selection of the new au pair of the year.
